The UC San Diego Triton Center brings student health, wellness, instructional support, and academic services into one central location on campus. The building also includes an alumni and welcome center along with flexible multi-purpose spaces used for a variety of university programs.

All Source was brought in to complete a large and detailed finishes scope across multiple areas of the facility. The work required careful coordination, tight layout control, and consistent execution across a wide range of materials.

TITLE INSTALLATION 

More than 30 different tile types were specified throughout the project. Each area came with its own layout challenges, transitions, and alignment requirements.

Our team handled:

• Installation of 30+ tile materials
• Maintaining consistent alignment across multiple zones
• Color-matched grout coordinated with adjacent finishes
• Clean transitions between tile systems and surrounding materials

Given the volume of materials and traffic the building will see, accuracy mattered. Layout planning, mockups, and field coordination were key to keeping the installation clean and consistent from space to space.

FLOORING INSTALLATION 

The project also included nearly 20 different flooring systems, each with its own substrate conditions and manufacturer requirements.

Before installation, our team evaluated existing surfaces and completed the necessary preparation to meet tolerance standards. Once properly prepped, flooring was installed efficiently and to specification, delivering a durable surface built for daily campus use.
