San Diego International Airport – Terminal 1

Project Description

All Source delivered the finishes package for this landmark project serving the greater San Diego region. The scope required detailed coordination, tight layout control, and consistent execution across multiple trades and materials.

TILE INSTALLATION
The concourse included a wide range of tile applications, from decorative mosaic porcelain on curved columns to large-format thin-gauge slabs that required specialized handling and setting systems.

Multi-format layouts demanded strict alignment and careful planning to maintain design intent across changing substrates and architectural conditions. Managing curvature, expansion requirements, and flatness tolerances required close field coordination and experienced installers.

The result is a clean, cohesive installation built to perform in a high-traffic public environment.

FLOORING INSTALLATION
Before installation began, our team addressed substrate inconsistencies and complex transitions between materials of varying thicknesses throughout the concourse.

Scope included substrate evaluation, corrective surface preparation, and sequencing work to maintain schedule momentum without sacrificing quality.

Once properly prepared, the flooring systems were installed efficiently and to specification, delivering a durable surface designed to withstand continuous public use.
